When we planted Horizon Central in the Fountain Square area near downtown Indianapolis, we knew we would have to be open to serving a diverse community. Over the years we have had the privilege of counseling and discipling sex offenders and others with less dramatic, but sexuality related issues. We have also provided a support group for those who experience same-sex attraction, but who have chosen to live a biblically integrated life, for example, by remaining celibate or in the context of heterosexual Christian marriage.

While serving as the lead pastor of Horizon Central, David also serves as an instructor and academic dean of Horizon University (www.horizonuniversity.edu). He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

You weren’t intended to live your life in isolation, and this is especially true when it comes to living out your faith. At Sojourn, we value relationships because we know that God uses our connections and interactions with other people to transform us into the people he created us to be. This value is expressed in our authenticity with one another. When you have committed and trusting relationships, you don’t have to pretend that life is perfect when it isn’t. Instead, we share what is really going on in our lives and experience support and healing. Through these relationships, we are able to call out one another’s gifting and help each other see God’s purpose for our lives. We encourage one another to live out the dreams God has given us. We also make time to get together in one another’s homes throughout the week, gathered around a shared mission of becoming more like Jesus and inviting others to join us on the journey.

We would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward wholeness in Christ!

Outpost Ministries was founded in 1976 to help men and women find freedom in Christ from unwanted same-sex attractions. We offer groups for young men, 18-29; older men, +30; family and friends; one-to-one mentoring; and Living Waters. We speak and offer seminars to both youth and adults to educate the Church on the issues related to same sex attraction. We also periodically offer the Encountering Jesus Young Adult Internship--to raise up a generation in the love and power of God. Outpost is now a ministry of the Twin Cities Justice House of Prayer (TCJHOP), a unified and praying Church moving in the power of the Holy Spirit to restore the family.

Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX) is a national non-profit organization committed to providing help, hope, and support to the parents and friends of homosexuals and gender confused men and women and supports the ex-gay community.

PFOX believes every person seeking positive life change needs and deserves the love and support of family, friends, the community, and the church. PFOX works to educate, support, and advocate for individual rights to self-determination and to increase understanding and inclusion of the ex-gay community in the discussion about same-sex attractions, homosexuality, and gender confusion.

PFOX offers a place for help, a place for truth, and a place for the ex-gay to participate in the conversation about same-sex attraction.

Founded in May 1998, PFOX was created specifically to be an alternative to the misinformed gay family groups which insist that parents can only prove their love for their gay child if they support gay rights and affirm their child’s self-proclaimed gay identity. PFOX helps parents keep families together through unconditional love without placing any conditions on that love.

PFOX has a long and proud history of educating society on the facts about sexual orientation and that ex-gays prove that change is possible. The thousands of men and women who made a decision to change their lives have benefited from their parents, friends, and loved ones being equipped with the truth about their struggle as they begin their journey of change.
